Petro Salema is the website of <obvious>Petro Salema</obvious> where I maintain a journal of my ideas and interests. It is also a space for me to offload my cluttered thoughts, and some helpful resources.
This version of the site came about after I go sufficiently fed up with trying to manage my countless scribbled notes on countless pieces of paper. Ideas constantly pop up in my head, and like a frantic game of Whac-A-Mole I have this compulsion to jot my thoughts down on pieces of paper so as not to forget them. The problem is that my crazy ideas come faster than I have time to consider, them so paper accumulates. I have notes that are about 3 years old. Not surprisingly a meaningful idea scribbled hastily on a napkin looks more like hen-scratching just months later. A 3 year old doodle (with no context) just doesn't scale at all.
I figured that writing my thoughts and notes out on a journal would encourage me to refine my ideas early, and would help my notes approach something that approximates coherence. I'm on a learning curve with this thing... They say you can't teach an old dog new trick, but that doesn't imply teaching a young dog is easy, right.
Many of my entries focus on my interest in programming, and design. My other passions include animation and photography. If I had not discovered Java, I may have become a traditional animator either that or a folk guitarist.
Thanks for visiting my site. I Hope you find something here of value.
One other thing... I sometimes use this site as a sort of sandbox so strange things may appear and then disappear from time to time.
